Probate Paralegals – Full Time
These positions draft and manage court and financial documents, conduct asset collection and valuation, facilitate meetings, and frequently communicate with clients, banks, insurance companies, etc. Probate Paralegals at Ohnstad Twichell individually manage assigned files through the entire probate process.
Candidates will be successful in this role if they have a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills, exceptional written and verbal communication, and very strong project management and time management skills. Knowledge and understanding of legal terminology, general accounting, income tax, real estate, and estate planning documents is extremely valuable.
Paralegal degree or certificate, or previous experience as a Paralegal is not required, but is preferred.
Legal Administrative Assistant (Estate Planning & Probate) – Full Time
The Legal Administrative Assistants assist the Estate Planning and Probate departments by preparing legal document drafts, maintaining files, composing and drafting correspondence, and providing excellent customer service both in-person and over the phone.
Successful candidates must have a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication and customer service skills, and accurate keyboarding and word processing ability. The ability to prioritize, multitask and work independently is essential.
Knowledge and experience with creating and proofreading legal documents, and understanding of legal terminology is not required, but valuable.
Associate Attorneys (multiple practice areas) – Full Time
The Associate Attorneys will fill available positions within the firm’s following practice groups: Litigation, Estate Planning, Real Estate, Probate Litigation, and Corporate.
Associate Attorneys have the opportunity to learn under the region’s top attorneys while completing meaningful, challenging, and cutting-edge legal work.
We hire associates carefully, with the expectation that those selected will eventually become shareholders and spend their careers at Ohnstad Twichell. Associate Attorneys are expected to be self-motivated, hard-working professionals capable of handling a diverse set of projects and will enjoy the benefit of significant flexibility in their work.
Ohnstad Twichell will consider candidates with experience looking to start immediately as well as expected graduates, for a start date as late as the fall of 2024, depending upon the circumstances of the selected candidate.
