Corporate/Business Law Paralegal – Full Time

Ohnstad Twichell in West Fargo is seeking a Full-Time Paralegal to work in the corporate litigation and business law areas. Duties include creating and filing corporate records and creating documents such as articles of incorporation or dissolution, stock certificates, or pledge agreements.  Will serve as a point of contact between clients and attorneys, prepare initial drafts of pleadings and discovery requests/responses, coordinate with process servers, calendar, and manage deadlines and hearing dates.

This position requires high level of attention to detail and organization skills, ability to analyze and interpret business and legal communication, understanding of legal terminology, exceptional written and verbal communication, accurate keyboarding, ability to manage high work volume, and exceptional analysis and time management skills.

Requires Associate’s degree in related field and 3 years’ experience, with preference given to Bachelor’s degree.

Right of Way Acquisition Coordinator/Paralegal – Full Time

Ohnstad Twichell is seeking a full-time Right of Way Acquisition Coordinator/Paralegal to work and coordinate work in various departments. Duties include tracking right-of-way acquisitions for municipal and water resource district projects, coordinating duties between multiple practice areas, legal research, correspondence, and drafting and maintaining related forms. Requires a high level of attention to detail, understanding of legal terminology, exceptional written and verbal communication, accurate keyboarding, and exceptional analysis and time management skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with demonstrated abilities in Excel and Word. The position requires an Associate Degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, with preference given to a bachelor’s degree. Combination work experience and education will be considered. Salary is dependent on experience.

Office Assistant – Full Time

Ohnstad Twichell Law Firm in West Fargo is seeking a full-time Office Assistant to perform a variety of functions to include mail processing, file/records maintenance, reception backup, and special administrative projects. Skills, knowledge, and abilities include a high degree of organization, good keyboarding skills, a clear understanding of office procedures and processes, a desire to learn, the ability to professionally communicate in written and verbal form, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires a high school diploma and one year of related experience in a professional office setting or a diploma from a technical or community college in a related field. Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record according to insurance standards. This position is an excellent training ground for a legal administrative assistant position

Paralegal – Full Time

Due to our continued growth, Ohnstad Twichell in West Fargo is seeking a Full-Time Paralegal to work in multiple practice areas, with a potential focus in corporate law, estate planning, and litigation. Duties include legal research, tracking of hearing dates/times, fielding incoming inquiry calls regarding legal services, preparation and filing of legal documents and correspondence, and drafting and filing of pleadings, motions, and appellate documents, and client communication. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and organization skills, ability to analyze and interpret business and legal communication, understanding of legal terminology, exceptional written and verbal communication, accurate keyboarding, ability to manage high work volume, and exceptional analysis and time management skills. Position requires Associate Degree and minimum 2 years related experience, with preference given to Bachelor’s degree.
